Fussy Eating

It’s a familiar story to many of us…. baby was eating everything offered and then suddenly started refusing foods. What happened!!!

Fussy eating is a relatively common childhood phenomenon but being reassured about this doesn’t make your mealtimes any less stressful. It doesn’t help you to know what to do when faced with yet another meal that’s been refused or when you find yourself putting fish fingers in the oven AGAIN because you know your little one will eat them.

DO YOU…..

  • find yourself not knowing what to cook for your fussy little one?

  • wonder if you should you offer an alternative if they don’t eat what they are given?

  • worry about them going to bed hungry? That they’re not eating enough? That they aren’t getting the nutrients they need?

  • find that mealtimes becoming more and more stressful?

If you are nodding along as you read this, then my online fussy eating course is for you.

As a mother to two small children and as a feeding specialist speech therapist with over 20 years’ experience supporting families with their infant and children’s feeding/eating, I am uniquely positioned to provide you with all the tools and tips to turn your mealtimes from stressful to stress free!

This was the information I was seeking, and it certainly delivered. I felt there was a lot of info out there on starting weaning, however not so much when it came to moving on and why my son’s attitude to food had changed so much.

Feeling confident with my new approach there was no time like the present to start and nothing was hard to implement. It changed my mindset as mum.
Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for the course.

Today was a good feeding day - maybe I was more relaxed but I used the approach and my 17m old Archie really enjoyed lunch & dinner! He even ate parsnip and raisins for the 1st time and tried drinking from an open cup.

What can you expect in the course?

This course is aimed for parents of children who are picky with their eating. It is suitable for toddlers to older children with no upper age limit. Whether they are just starting to be picky and you want to know how to manage this new fussiness, or if its more deeply embedded and you’re sick of making them the same meals and want to change things up – the course will meet your needs.

The course contains a series of short videos (self-paced) which you can watch in whatever order you’d like in your own time. All the videos are captioned for customers with hearing impairments/deafness or for those who may choose to watch with sound off. There are 25 videos in total. Alongside videos there is written content and downloadable information/resources.

In the course you will learn:

  • All about fussy eating and how and why it develops

  • What to expect with your child’s appetite, growth, and portions. Having appropriate expectations can help reduce stress when they don’t do things as “you expect”

  • How to establish routines and roles in eating and during mealtimes

  • How to keep exposing your child to new foods without wasting foods and making multiple meals for your family

  • How to stop catering for your child’s preferences whilst still ensuring they eat something

  • How to set your meals up to make it more likely your child will try and eat new foods

  • How to meal plan for your fussy eater and the whole family

  • How to manage stressful mealtime behaviours

  • How to manage food refusal

Your course was absolutely incredible and you have such an amazing flow and way of explaining whilst considering that all kids are just so different. I loved it and felt really understood yet have many ideas I can try and see how to implement them into our little eating tango.
